The promotion of energy efficiency and the exercise of energy conservation have been among the Village of Freeport's top priorities. Committed to these important objectives, Freeport Electric is introducing various energy efficiency initiatives that will benefit our entire community. Some of the projects include the introduction of electric cars within the Village fleet, a solar incentive program, a pilot program for the launch of high efficiency street lights, among others. Freeport Electric is extremely enthusiastic about the implementation of these energy saving programs and looks forward to providing our community with the tools it needs to understand and manage its energy usage behavior.
