Freeport Electric Green Projects
The promotion of energy efficiency and the exercise of energy conservation have been among the Village of Freeport's top priorities. Committed to these important objectives, Freeport Electric will be introducing various energy efficiency initiatives that will benefit our entire community. Some of the projects underway include the introduction of electric cars within the Village fleet, a solar incentive program, a pilot program for the launch of high efficiency street lights, among others. Freeport Electric is extremely enthusiastic about the implementation of these energy saving programs and looks forward to educating the public about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation.
